What Your Jack-o-Lantern Says

You tend to be a goofy, optimistic person.

You enjoy Halloween more than anyone else you know.

This Halloween be as silly as you can - dress up as a giant version of a small object

The candy you should give out: laffy taffy

Take this test!
You're yellow, the color of joy and energy — two things you definitely bring to everyone around you. It's hard for anyone to be sad or lonely in your presence; your sunny disposition and cheery outlook just won't allow it. The warmth of your personality shines through in the kindness you show friends and family (and strangers, too). Always ready with a lighthearted joke or heartfelt compliment, you know how to make people feel good about themselves, so they can't get enough of you. Yellow is a warm and inviting color for a warm and inviting person — you!

Happy Easter!!!

My cousin is a goof ball and this is what he sent me. I think it's absolutely hilarious! =) It's titled "The Ultimate Peep Show".

Beautiful Poem

Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her 'beauty tips.' It was read at her funeral years later.

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others."\

What a beautiful and gracious thought. I need to print this out and put it all over my house. Very uplifting!

Back together again

YAY! MY HOUSE IS COMPLETE AGAIN!!!

After waiting a few months to get my hole fixed in my ceiling from the rain leak, I finally have a closed up room again!

My sister, Anna, and her husband, Scott, came out this weekend and they were the first travelers to come and stay in my newly decorated guest room. I am so relieved to have that trial behind me. On to something else....

Small Town Life

I went up to my Grandad's house in Payson about 2 weeks ago. I had been trying to get up there since the start of the year but hadn't been able to yet. Our plan was to go out to dinner and then I was to learn how to leather tool.

I got started a little later than I would have liked, but got up to Payson around 4:30pm. It was just starting to SNOW! It was beautiful! There is a little cafe called the "BeeLine Cafe" in Payson that my grandad and great uncle go to every Friday night. We ended up going. As I was sitting there I couldn't help but feel loved. It was amazing! The people who own/work in the cafe all know my grandad by name. When we walked in everyone said hello and I was introduced to them. Through the whole evening, they all remembered my name. There is one lady named Linda who is a riot! We had sodas at our table before we even got 3 feet into the cafe, that's how well she knows my grandad. I really would love to live in a place like that once. It was amazing to me. Much different than any city life I"ve ever experienced!

When we got back to the house, the snow kept falling and I was able to start on my leather tooling lesson. Grandad had purchased a key holder kit for me to make and decorate for my first time. It was hard work. I had to make sure the leather was dry enough (but still wet) before I started working with it. I had to put down a pattern, cut the leather, and then pound the leather with different metal tools until it resembled what it was supposed to look like. I loved it! On Saturday we did the detail work and then I dyed the leather. Once it was dry enough I learned how to do the leather lacing on the sides and then we were done. I enjoyed myself so much, I am going to purchase other items and figure out at my own house how to do them.
